Men's Ministries

Men's Ministries at FBC are as varied as the people you'll find here. With complete freedom in Christ, we welcome you to join us according to your desires and spiritual gifting. Typical Men's Ministries found at FBC include: small group Bible and book studies, prayer partners, mentoring opportunities, events for men and boys to connect and learn from each other, annual summer fishing trip, annual "Stay in the Woods" ATV ride, annual snowmobile ride and hot dog roast, and short term mission projects. No matter what you enjoy and are passionate about, your gifts can be used to serve and encourage others. Be sure to watch the weekly Growth Spurts for special Men's Ministry details.

Purpose Statement: This committee exists to provide spiritual, emotional, and practical support to the women of the church and community through individually tailored programs.

FBC Women’s Ministries is FOR women, and BY women desiring to serve Christ and women compassionately, intellectually, and effectively.

This ministry is three-fold:

1. Encouraging women with a sense of BELONGING to God and to each other.
2. Enabling women in BECOMING whole through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
3. Equipping women to be a BLESSING to others with the grace and truth of Jesus Christ.

Each member of the leadership team is a leader in her own right. She helps with coordinating different and specific areas of ministry.

Announcement

'08 Fighter Verses (18)

Summer Celebration, our summer Sunday School for all ages, will begin on Sunday, July 13. The morning begins with coffee served from 8:45 – 9:00 a.m. Each week a different family or group will present a short program at 9:00. In past years we have heard from our Ukraine Team, Youth Missions Team, Global Focus Partners, and families who share about their recent travels. We also kick-off our annual VBS during Summer Celebration.

The Spiritual Growth Ministries Team is recruiting volunteers to serve coffee and rolls or muffins. Volunteers are needed from July 13 through August 24. Contact Blair Johnson by Sunday, June 1 if you are available to serve.

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

NOTE: All verses quoted from the New International Version

THE ABCs OF BECOMING A CHRISTIAN

A - ADMIT

Admit to God that you are a sinner. Repent, turning away from your sin.

(Romans 3:23; 6:23;
Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9)

B-BELIEVE

Believe that Jesus is God's Son and accept God's forgiveness from sin.

(John 3:16; John 14:6;
Acts 4:12; Romans 5:8;
Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:11-13)

C-CONFESS

Confess your faith
in Jesus Christ
as Savior and Lord.

(Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Everyone, regardless of age, must be convicted of sin by the Holy Spirit. To become a Christian, a person must believe that Jesus' death paid the penalty for sin and that God raised Jesus from the dead, and make a lifetime decision to let Jesus control his or her life.
