 | Harvey and Lois served in Sweden with Greater Europe Mission (GEM) from 1967-1988. Sweden became "home" to them. God blessed them with 4 children...Kari, Stephen, Thomas and David. Kari died shorty before her 2nd birthday and is buried in Uppsala, Sweden. Today their boys are all married and they presently have 7 grandchildren.
Harvey and Lois returned to the US in 1987 and spent seven years farming in northern MN, near Roseau. They realized during those years that their hearts were still in missions and looked for a place to again serve. God blessed their desire. The fall of 1994, they moved to Colorado Springs to work at the International Headquarters of GEM. They have been involved in various ministries with GEM for these past 12 years.
Currently Harvey is involved with the Member Care department, supervising GEM missionaries when they return to North America for their home ministry assignments. Lois is presently involved with the Resource Mobilization Group, responding to requests for information generated by GEM's website; she also represents GEM in churches and on college campuses.
Lois recently wrote, "We have appreciated your prayers and partnership through the years and want to THANK YOU for praying, giving and caring as we journey through life. Anything that God has been able to do through us is also a tribute to your faithfulness through the years. May God bless you as you seek to spread the Good News around the world...beginning right there in northern Minnesota!"
