Mom's in Touch (MIT) is a group of mothers who meet for one hour each week to pray for their children and the schools they attend.

Locally, Mom's in Touch will meet on Tuesday mornings from 8:45 - 10:00 a.m. at Traci Fichter's home. All area mothers with preschool - 12th grade children are encouraged to attend. NOTE: MIT follows the school calendar - they do not meet if there is no school.

"Pour out your heart like water before the face of the Lord; lift up your hands toward Him for the lives of your children." Lamentations 2:19

Mark your calendar - Senior Saints will meet on Thursday, May 15. If you are of the "retirement persuasion," we'd love to have you join us.

Future meetings will usually be the third Thursday of each month.

Friday Bingo
at Sheltering Oaks

This summer's Book Club selection is Gift from the Sea, by Anne Morrow Lindbergh. Lindbergh shares her meditations on youth and age; love and marriage; peace, solitude and contentment as she set them down during a brief vacation by the sea. Drawing inspiration from the shells on the shore, Lindbergh's musings on the shape of a woman's life bring new understanding to both men and women at any stage in life. She casts an unsentimental eye on the trappings of modernity that threatens to overwhelm us, and by recording her thoughts during a brief escape from everyday demands, she helps readers find a space for contemplation and creativity within their own lives.

Books are available at Grand Central for a suggested donation of $7.50. Meet at the City Park on June 26th, 7:00 p.m., for this book discussion facilitated by Mary Dieter. If inclement weather, please meet at Mary's home.

What an adventure! Plans are being made for the 3rd annual women's canoe trip. Space will be limited, so don't wait until the last moment.

Volunteers are needed each week to help with Friday Bingo from 1:45 - 3:00 p.m. This is something you can do as a family; the residents enjoy visiting with children.

The "birthday party of the month" will be held on Friday, Nov. 28, 2:00 p.m. Responsibilities include providing cakes, small gifts for residents with November birthdays, and a short program.

Contact Margie Dunham for more info.

If interested (or just curious) contact Teri Johnson or Jane Gracza.

Contact Mary Dieter to volunteer.
